ABFfit, a program for interactive profile fitting on (e.g.) diffraction data.

- ABFfit is a tool for highly interactive processing of small to medium size
  data sets. E.g. in the specific case of powder diffraction it is well suited
  to preliminary data processing before a Rietveld fit can be started or to
  difficult case requiring user interaction. It has been designed for research
  and teaching.

- Uses an original maximum likelihood algorithm designed for Poisson
  distributed data (counts).
- Handles polynomial background and various peak shapes either build-in
  or provided as plug-ins CODE resources.
- Build-in peak shapes: Symmetrical (Gauss, Lorentz, Cauchy, Pseudo-Voigt)
  and asymmetrical (Gumbel+, Gumbel-).
- Supports fit constraints on the parameters.
- Interactive graphical initialization of the fitting algorithm with the
  possibility of saving the starting model for further processing of the data
  in automatic mode (pseudo-batch).
- Provides extensive statistical summaries on the fit (Plots of normalized
  residuals, joint confidence regions, diagnostic measures on influential
  data points, etc..).

This demo version is fully functional except that numerical results are neither
displayed nor printed. The full version is marketed by the University of
St Etienne (France).
